Some Snaps and Thoughts of Shenzhen

Shenzhen
Overview
We stayed in Shenzhen for four days - looking around three suburbs; Futian, Nanshan and Luohu. Here's some snaps from each area; I've also added some notes about how to wonder around electronics markets in Huaqiangbei.
Getting to Shenzhen
We started off our journey to Shenzhen by catching the train from Zhuhai Station (Next to Gongbei Port) to Guangzhou South Railway.

After exploring the train station a bit, we settled down into the business lounge for some snacks. Note, that there are two business lounges in the area - each operated by different business entities. There's one on the lower floors as you arrive into the station and another in the main area two floors above. The lower one had better drinks but the upper one had better snacks. In both cases, they will escort you to your train 15 minutes before departure. If you do get business class, you also get snacks and tea onboard the loco.

Snaps from Futian
We spent our first day in Shenzhen strolling around the Futian City Center.

It was frustratingly hot but we did end up visiting the Civic center and Lianhuashan Park. Along the way, I tried to buy a Chinese phone number but it proved to be too expensive at 200RMB for 1 week. This meant we couldn't try the driverless taxis and drone delivery.

We arrived at Lianhuashan Park at the perfect time - it was sunset and everyone was enjoying themselves.

The cutest part of the park was the kite flying. After walking past the entrance, the ovals were filled with people of all ages flying their kites. Of course, there were also people sellling kites!

We even got custom-ish shirts for Mahjong.

We ended up at Shenzhen Bay. It was a bit of a walk from Shopping Center. But it was well worth the walk!

Snaps from Luohu
We visited the padestrian street and ate at the oldest McDonalds in China!

We also had coconut chicken hot pot!!! It's just like normal hotpot but instead of using water, they use fresh coconut water. It was very yummy!!!
